We’re Conroe residents who love our community and believe our voices should matter. When our elected officials stop listening to the people they represent, it’s up to us to remind them who they work for.
We believe government should be transparent, responsive, and accountable. Residents deserve to know how decisions are made, to have their concerns taken seriously, and to have a meaningful voice in the future of their city.
That includes how the city handles our privacy. We have real concerns about surveillance technology like Flock cameras: how our data is collected, who can access it, how long it's kept, and what Fourth Amendment protections apply to it. Those are legitimate questions, and asking them is not an attack on law enforcement.
Everyone involved with this campaign is expected to act with respect and within the law. This campaign exists to pursue a lawful, constitutional process: circulating a petition and putting a recall question to Conroe voters. We do not support, condone, or organize harassment, threats, or intimidation directed at city officials, their families, city staff, or anyone else, regardless of where they stand on this issue.
Some officials have publicly stated that they and their families have received death threats connected to opposition to the Flock camera program. We take any genuine threat seriously and believe it should be reported to police and prosecuted. While there are allegations of such activity, we are not aware of any arrests or public evidence tied to these claims, and we have seen no such conduct from anyone associated with this campaign.
